A superb and rare Arts and Crafts Brass and Enamel Jewellery casket of Austrian origin decorated in the highly stylised Jugendstil Seccesionist style.
 
This most beautiful untouched casket unusually retains its original rich deep metallic oxidised patina, its original enamels and also its plush velvet lined interior which completely sets this example apart. 
 
The casket was made in two variants and is the larger of the two with more enamel work and decoration.
 
Size: 17.5cm length x 11cm width x 10cm height.
 
Circa: 1905.
 
Condition: In excellent original condition. 
 
Markings: Stamped 'F' and numeral 2 to the base and numeral 2 to the inside of lid.
