Superb Arts and Crafts Art Nouveau Silver Plated Enamel Jewellery Casket
 
A rare Arts and Crafts silver plated brass and copper enamel jewellery casket of Austrian origin decorated in the Jugendstil Secessionist style.
 
A beautiful and untouched casket retaining its original silver plating inset with a pierced and decorated lid with coloured enamels. Fitted with a cedar wood interior lining,  other examples are usually seen in brass and copper.
 
Size: 13cm width x 10cm depth x 8.5cm height.
 
Circa: 1905.
 
Markings: Stamped monogram to the base.
 
Condition: The casket is in superb condition and its silver plating has negligible wear, the cedar wood interior lining and hinge remain intact, there is no key present and the lid opens and closes perfectly well.
