A superb and rare Arts and Crafts Silvered Brass and Copper Enamel Jewellery casket of Austrian origin decorated in the highly stylised Jugendstil Secessionist style.
 
This most beautiful and untouched casket unusually retains its original silver plating with
its original high quality enamel which completely sets this example apart from the more commonly seen brass and copper examples.
 
Size: 13cm width x 10cm depth x 8.5cm height.
 
Circa: 1905.
 
Markings: Stamped 'A' and numerals 2 and 3 to the base and to the inside of lid.
 
Condition: A rare example retaining its original silver plate which sets this example apart from the more commonly seen brass and copper examples. In superb original condition with slight wear to some of the silver plate, the cedar wood interior lining and hinge are intact, there is no key present.
