DR CHRISTOPHER DRESSER SOLID SILVER BONBON DISH

Extremely Rare Antique Christopher Dresser Solid Silver Two Piece Bon-Bon Dish, circa 1881. A magnificent and very rare Antique Christopher Dresser Solid Silver Double Bon-Bon Dish with gilt interior and handle wrapped with cane.  A great example of Christopher Dresser's avant-garde design.  

Hallmarked solid silver (we have only ever seen silver plated examples), with the initials C.B.E.P - Charles Belk & E. Parkin for Roberts & Belk of Sheffield, Furnival Works, 1881. There are also additional jewellers marks on the base.

In excellent original condition - magnificent quality with gilt interior - worthy of museum presence as this is the only SOLID SILVER example we have seen of this registered Dresser design that is normally produced in silver plate.
