A superb and rare highly stylised Poole Pottery Guy Sydenham Pebble Vase c1970.
 
The futuristic and stylish deep sgraffito pattern is incised on a pebble form vase with an arrangement of linear geometric patterns.  It is glazed in muted dark brown and the incised pattern is highlighted in black and yellow glazes.
 
Single angled opening to the vase which allows use of a specimen flower or pen, 10.5cm maximum diameter 6.5cm height which is finely potted and in perfect unblemished condition.
 
A beautiful and tactile piece designed by Poole potteries master craftsman and designer Guy Sydenham.
 
Marks: Incised with GS monogram and Poole England stamp.
 
Size: 6.5cm high x 10.5cm diameter.
 
Circa: 1970.
