  This is a rare original vintage/period Piero Fornasetti enamel & wooden jewellery box from the 1950s.   It has an enamelled metal cover with Fornasetti's iconic steam powered paddle ship on a cream background with a sliding dovetail jointed wooden mahogany inner compartment.  The enamel is lithographically printed and hand coloured.  Manufactured by Fornasetti Milano.

  Condition: In excellent condition with very minor wear only commensurate with age. There are no untoward scratches or chips to the enamel. The green baize base material is worn with use where the original Fornasetti mark would have been present.
