Arts and Crafts Planished Copper Candlesticks by Ernest Gimson.

An important and early pair of Arts and Crafts planished copper candlesticks designed by architect Ernest Gimson and made at the Sapperton workshops by Alfred Bucknell.

Beautifully hand crafted, the candlesticks have restrained intricate abstract geometric designs to all surfaces, other examples usually have less detailing.

The stylish design and hand made principles evoke the puritanical essence of the Arts and Crafts movement.

Condition: In superb original and unpolished condition retaining their original patina.
