    Superb & highly stylised modernist Art Deco chrome plated desk lamp with tubular rotating shade & adjustable angled ‘smoked grey’ lucite or perspex hood c1930.   
   
        
   
    Of ingenious construction, the lamp evokes extreme Art Deco Modernism style at its best and has great similarities to the designs of Jacques Adnet, the French modernist architect and interior designer.   
   
        
   
    Of English origin, the lamp is finely engineered and of ingenious construction. It is in excellent original working condition with very little wear to the chrome plate & has been re-wired using antique style black braided twisted wire ready to use with period push button on\off switch.  All parts are original & present along with its original tungsten filament strip bulb which is still working for nearly 100 years.   
   
        
   
    Replacement long series tubular bulbs can readily be found from good on-line industrial light bulb specialists with varying designs to suit personal taste.
