Jessie Marion King ceramic wall mounted plant holder Arts and Crafts
A rare ceramic wall mounted plant holder hand painted and glazed by Jessie Marion King with swallows and bluebells.
JMK ceramics were more commonly made for tableware rather than decorative ornament. The plant holders decoration adapts well to the vessel shape and she became increasingly popular as a ceramic artist.
Jessies nickname 'Rabbit' and her home 'Greengate' in Kircudbright featured on her markings to ceramics, the blanks were made at David Methvens Kirkcaldy pottery.
