A truly exquisite & Rare small size (21cm high) Antique Art Deco Goldscheider Butterfly Bat Girl Captured Bird polychrome earthenware figure, by Josef Lorenzl. The figure is the most beautiful blue/turquoise colour with delicate cobweb detail, a green aphid, a butterfly and a small ladybird.

Fully marked by Goldscheider and signed twice by Lorenzl on the base and on the back of flower basket - numbered 6600 132.

Excellent condition having undergone minor professional restoration to stabilise a small hairline crack to the left wing.
