Glasgow Style Antique Arts and Crafts Liberty & Co Style Silvered Copper Mantel Clock c. 1900, 29.5cm high

  A beautiful Glasgow Style Antique Arts & Crafts silvered planished copper mantel clock with original & working French 8-day movement likely to have been retailed through Liberty & Co, c1900.     Of typical ‘A’ frame riveted construction, the casing features a beautiful stylised Glasgow style Charles Rennie Mackintosh rose with entrelac Celtic plant form.  The architectural over hanging domed 'roof' of the clock case epitomises the Liberty & Co Arts and Crafts style.     Date: circa 1900.     Size: 29.5cm high x 24.5cm wide x 11cm deep.     Condition:  The whole clock is in completely undamaged original condition and is in full working order, retaining its original working 8-day French movement with white enamel dial and original winding key.  The movement keeps accurate time and has been professionally overhauled and cleaned by a leading antique clock restorer to ensure many years of future use.  The silver plating to the planished case is also in excellent condition and shows off the mantel clock superbly.
