Glasgow school Arts and Crafts Brass gallery tray by Talwin Morris.

 

An exceptional rare and substantial Glasgow school Arts and Crafts hand hammered brass gallery tray with rolled formed handles by Talwin Morris  c1900. 

 

Depicting typical Talwin Morris elongated linear tendrils with pointed leaves with Glasgow style roses  makes this a superb, substantial and useful example worthy of the finest collections.

 

Talwin Morris produced designs for Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his work was sold through Guthrie and Wells in Glasgow and likely produced through the workshops of Margaret Gilmour.

 

Condition: In excellent condition throughout with no splits, holes or unsightly dings.

 

Date: Circa 1900.
