Large Antique Eichwald Pottery Majolica Secessionist Art Nouveau Bernard Bloch Mantel Clock c.1915.
A very stylish, large & finely potted antique Eichwald majolica glazed ceramic mantel clock designed by Bernard Bloch for the Eichwald pottery in Bohemia/Czechoslovakia. Circa1915.
With typical Jugendstil Secessionist & Eichwald Majolica styling, the casing houses the original clock movement which works well and comes complete with winding key. This is a real statement piece where designs of Josef Hoffmann & Wiener Werkstatte were also utilised.Marks: The clock is fully marked to the base with impressed Eichwald pottery marks and registration numbers "Eichwald 5133 31".
Size: 31.5cm high x 20cm max width.

Condition: In excellent unrestored original condition, there are inconsequential glaze flakes to 3 of the 4 corners of the base foot as shown. The casing houses the original clock movement which works well and comes complete with winding key.
