CHRISTOPHER DRESSER FOR WATCOMBE POTTERY CO. TORQUAY TERRACOTTA JUG, c.1872

A rare and good example of a Watcombe Pottery Co. Aesthetic Movement Terracotta Jug with gold decoration designed by Dr Christopher Dresser.

Marks: It is fully marked to the base with printed "Watcome Torquay" and registered diamond mark (Clayware, Batch 6, 3rd June 1872).

Date: 1872

Size: H20cm x D16cm x W14cm

Condition: In excellent original condition.  For completeness there are three inconsequential nicks to the side of the handle.
