An extremely rare Christopher Dresser Minton cloisonne Persian fan shape moon flask shape number 1472 decorated with stylised enamels on a turquoise background with gilt highlights c1869.
Of exhibition quality and of outstanding design, both decoration and gilding are vividly and crisply painted remaining in superb condition with negligible wear, no craqueleure effect or staining to detract. The flask would have likely to have been sold through Thomas Goode and Sons of Mayfair.
An identical Persian fan shape cloisonne moonflask is held at the Ashmolean Museum accession no. WA2021.23 ex Rose & Galichan collection.
